There’s plenty to do around Carlyle this fall to take in the beauty and fun of autumn.
Nashville Fall Festival
Nashville, IL is hosting their 39th annual fall festival on Sept. 27th and 28th. Stroll streets packed with vendors, food booths, crafts, and kid’s activities while you enjoy live music from performers like NCHS Alumni Dale Papp and The Hot Rod Johnny Band.
Breese Optimist Fall Fest
On Saturday, September 28th, head over to Breese, IL for an all-day festival for the whole family. Listen to more than five bands as you sample the delicious results of the Chili Cook-off and Home Brew Contest. There will be no shortage of vendors and crafts, a car show, a rock wall, a petting zoo, and bounce houses to help the young ones burn off some of that festival food.
Pick of the Patch
Carlyle herself is planning a street fair on October 19th. The party will be held at beautiful Carlyle Lake, and will feature family fun activities, food, vendors, music, and of course, pumpkins.
For the brave, indulge in the spooky side of Halloween with a haunted trip through Carlyle. Jump on a hayride from the Carlyle McDonald’s to the Little Prairie Nature Trail, located on U.S. Army Corps grounds near the Lake Spillway. Be on the lookout for waiting ghosts, monsters, and other seasonal spooks.
